Today Bhuvan Birthday ! So San prepared his favorite David off coffee, along with some of his favorite south Indian breakfast idly, puthina chutney, sambar and medu vada.
As he got freshen up and put on his new birthday shirt which was careful choosen with best fabrics and embroidered well and stitched by his wife San which was especially made from her own hands. She also wearing one traditional silk saree matching to his shirt and they together went for a siva temple to get some blessing on his birthday ! some special poojas offered by the pandit on her request and they got the blessings and the day started so auspicious.
he called office and took a week off by stating that he will be coming to office after 7 days ! since the couple had some plans on their mind to spent time with each other wisely after a long time. San already made the things what is required from her end since she was the one who planned everything and offered this 5 day trip to turkey and two days for their rest. San even applied for turkey visa before 60 days in advance since holders of Turkish visa are kindly recommended to check the “duration of stay” and “period of validity” before their travel to Turkey, holders of Turkish visa will not be allowed to enter Turkey before the start of the “validity period” of their visas.
Then they headed to the best famous briyani hotel in the city which is always crowed, since Bhuvan was a briyani lover , somehow they managed to get the table by giving some tips to the server and got theior seats and headed to have their briyani as their lunch along with some chicken and lamb starters.
After their lunch , they went home and got their luggages packed and headed to the airport since they already decided for the trip, the couple heading for a tour to Turkey , the couple reached the airport with all their luggage and took the flight IndiGo and It was 12 hours trip, approximately 5860 kilometers. Whether you visit a local home or drop by a souvenir shop, expect to be presented a glass of tea.Typically, Turkish tea is served in a tiny glass, on a quaint saucer with sweets like kurabiye (biscuits) or Turkish delight. you must have to taste their chai if you are a chai lover !Turkish coffee will also be good and The Turks have a very specific method for their coffee: They only use finely ground beans, boiling the mixture on a cezve (small pot) until it froths. Sugar, if preferred, is added while boiling.Once the preparation is over, the coffee is poured into a kahve finjanı — a tiny porcelain cup the size of an espresso. along with that if you taste their layered pastries called baklava-Look for the pieces sporting a pale yellow-green crest. This color comes from the pistachio, an original Turkish rendition to the syrupy dessert. the couple also ordered Iskender kebab draws its name from Iskender Efendi, who invented the recipe in the late 19th century. Today, it’s one of the most beloved dishes in northwestern Turkey.undoubtedly, Iskender kebab is a cut above the rest. It’s made of tender lamb, warm pita bread, hot tomato sauce, and tangy yogurt. Normally, waiters serve this savory dish hot; then, they pour over as much melted butter as the customer desires. The couple enjoyed all these dishes and they taken rest for the night !
Day 2- By waking up so early in the morning , the couple Begin their tour by visiting the heart of old Istanbul, Hagia Sophia – a museum famed for its mosaics, including glittering portraits of emperors and empresses and a poignant Virgin and Child, Next, visit the Blue Mosque, the only imperial mosque with six minarets. Its courtyard is especially grand. after that Hippodrome, the stadium of ancient Byzantium, held 100,000 spectators and featured objects from all corners of the empire. Of these, an Egyptian obelisk and a bronze sculpture of three entwined serpents from Delphi survive
And Wandering through the Grand Bazaar in the old city with 4,000 shops full of treasures including carpets and kilims, silks, jewelry, ceramics, icons and leather goods. San and Bhuvan bought some nice carpets for their house as a decorative piece and as well to improve their interior looks since Turkey produces some of the highest quality of carpets in the world. In the country, every rug and carpet represents history and culture. one can find Turkish carpets of all sizes and prices — some are affordable and woven for especially for tourists; others are very expensive as they have been passed down from generation to generation.Some of the costliest Turkish carpets even have royal roots! Speaking of baths, Turkey has also grown famous for its Turkish towels and special olive oil soaps /Typically, Turkish soap has an olive oil base and is mixed with salt and other natural fragrances which are incredibly affordable too.
The couple also bought some evil eye – In Turkey’s culture, the evil eye is often worn as a charm. People who wear this, usually as a bracelet or a pendant, believe that the charm wards off evil spirits and bad luck.You can find the famous evil eye in several souvenir varieties too, such as key chains, wall ornaments, even teacups!
Then they Visited Topkapi Palace, the great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries, housing an exquisite collection of precious gems, jewelry thrones of sultans, robes worn by the sultans and their families, miniatures, the Holy Mantle and the Chamber of Sacred Relics. Great royal sultans architecture and their music is like so much pleasant for your eyes and ears , also you can book for dance show – A longstanding part of the Turkish religion, Sufi whirling is a meditation practice performed by Sufi Dervishes during worship ceremonies. It involves whirling (thus the name) as a representation of the planets orbiting the sun.Back in the day, Turkey culture prohibited women to participate in the Dervish dance. But with the growing modernization and secularization of Turkey, some communities now allow women to take part in this culture. it will be a kind of treat !
The Turks value cats so much, it’s astounding! In fact, it’s common to find cat houses and cat food lining the streets of Turkey. Day 3 – By Waking up in the morning, the couple enjoyed a hearty breakfast and complete the check-out formalities from the hotel. In the Camlica hill, one can set back and admire the magnificent panorama of Istanbul.Post check-out, they got ready for an amazing cruise tour in Istanbul followed by transfers to Izmir. They Board a Bosphorus Cruise and enjoyed looking at Asia on one side and Europe on the other. after that they headed for Marvel at the marble palaces, wooden villas and luxury apartments that line the waterway. The strait that now connects the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara was actually the Bosphorus river back in the day. Currently, the Bosphorus strait flows into the Bosphorus sea. Pass under the Bosphorus Bridge and admire its blend of eastern, Turkish, and western motifs of the Beylerbeyi Palace built by Sultan Abdulmecid on the site of a wooden mansion.After the cruise tour, get transferred to IST/SAW Airport to board a flight to Kayseri.
Upon arrival, meet our representative and get escorted to your pre-booked hotel.Complete the check-in formalities and rest for the day.Overnight stay in Cappadocia.
Day 4 – The couple got ready to take a full-day tour of South Cappadocia, starting with the Red Valley with its famous rock-cut churches. Hike through the beautiful Güllüdere (Rose) Valley, before going to the village of Çavusin, famous for the houses and churches of the Christian clergymen. After lunch, drive to Pigeon Valley, named for its hundreds of dovecotes. Visit Kaymakli Underground City to see where the early Christians lived. Unarguably, Cappadocia is a storybook town with its cave houses and cobblestoned roads. But most favored of all is Cappadocia’s hot air balloons — they float upon sunrise, presenting a breathtaking scene of vibrant and colorful aircraft against the spectacular orange sky.Transfer back to your hotel, passing the natural castles at Ortahisar
Day 5 – The couple had their scrumptious breakfast and pack their bags for the departure.Complete the check-out formalities and get ready to leave for Kayseri airport to catch a suitable flight to Istanbul. The trip ended with unforgettable memories ,güzel bir geziydi(it was a nice trip).
The couple boarded the flight that returning to Chennai from Istanbul with some heavy loaded memories by bidding Güle güle (Good bye) to the Turkey land.
Back to India , heading towards Chennai ……….
